Picking out souvenirs for you, your home and your friends can be a completely unique activity in Florida. There are places like Pointe It is a fact that most international travelers do not have the right kind of insurance coverage that is necessary for them while traveling abroad.

To substantiate the ever growing population of foreign travelers around the world, International Travel Insurance comes to the fore in helping you take care of all matters from sudden ticket cancellations, to tour changes, accidents and unprecedented illnesses.

Most of the time government sponsored health programs are just not enough to take care of any kind of medical emergency that might happen to you while out on a holiday on foreign shores. There are of course the usual company-sponsored insurance plans, which cover a bare minimum of emergency situations. In regular cases, emergency medical evacuation is almost never undertaken.

Insurance agents are often asked the question about why do we need insurance while traveling. One of the most serious is the risk of injury or illness in a foreign country. Obtaining healthcare in some parts of the world can be tricky.

Unfamiliar situations, dealing with a different culture set up and medical system is aggravated if you do not have the proper resources to help you while in need of immediate medical care and hospital expenditures that may be necessary.

There are also hospitals which don’t provide any treatment–or do not allow a patient to be discharged—receipt of payment or a guarantee of the same. Travel insurance companies give guarantees such as these. For this though you will have to pay in advance, perhaps thousands of dollars, via your credit card.

Most travel insurance plans provide two or three types of insurance categories, such as: Trip cancellation coverage which protects you financially in case of a cancellation or change in your pre destined trip for reasons medical or otherwise.

Say for example if you have purchased a holiday trip but can’t make it because of illness, only a small part of your total amount will be re-funded to you. Here is where this type of insurance coverage may help you in securing a larger amount of your money.

Another type of insurance coverage that is provided is the accident or health insurance, such a plan covers your hospital and doctor bills, and in some cases general medicine and dental care too. You can purchase such a plan for a short trip.

You could also purchase primary insurance for relocating to another country for an extended period of time, maybe 6 months or even a longer period.

Medical Evacuation is another category, which is also necessary at times. Evacuations are at times expensive. This is where you insurance plan could help you. Apart from the coverage part, you would also want assistance while arranging for an evacuation from any place to your home.

Usually travel insurance includes medical evacuation benefits, which is crucial in times of emergency.

The insurance company arranges for your evacuation with a creditable evacuation company, involving their medical personnel too.

You should ensure while investing in a plan that it includes one or more of the three important clauses mentioned here.

A Typical Travel Insurance Policy Regarding Luggage and or Personal Items

Sometimes when we go on vacation or on a trip for business, it’s almost as if we are carrying our entire lives along with us in our checked bags, so it comes as no surprise that in this day and age that travelers want their possessions that go along with them to be as safe as possible.

Travel insurance plans have become increasingly popular in the US since the tragedy that struck during 9/11, but before you decide if travel insurance is something that you need to spend your money on, it would help to know what is typically covered by these protective plans.

What’s covered?

Lost or stolen bags:

Some companies offer different grades of travel insurance, much like you can get with your homeowners or auto insurance. Depending upon the level of protection that you choose to pay for, a lost or stolen bag may garner a reimbursement of five hundred to a thousand dollars each. This is a potentially good feature if your bags are stolen, but all airlines have reimbursements for lost luggage which has just been recently raised to three thousand dollars per traveler.

Delayed luggage:

We all travel with things that are absolute necessities; clothes, razors, deodorants and other toiletries – with travelers insurance, if your bags end up at your destination more than twenty four hours after you do, you may be eligible for a reimbursement of up to two hundred dollars or more to purchase these types of items to hold you over until your bags arrive.

What’s not covered?

Under each type of travelers insurance policy that you may invest in, be wary of exclusions. Items that are difficult to prove may not be covered under your policy – things like contact lenses, eyeglasses, and cash are usually among the lists of items that are not covered.

Do you need travelers insurance?

This can be a pretty tough call in some cases, if having the extra protection is going to make you feel safer and able to relax and enjoy your vacation more, and the money isn’t a very big concern, than by all means – invest in the travelers insurance, just be wary that you may already be covered.

Some travelers are eligible for coverage under their homeowner’s insurance policies. If you take the time to check your homeowners policy you may find that you are protected up to a certain dollar amount on lost or stolen possessions.

If you paid for your trip with plastic as many travelers do these days, your particular credit card may offer you certain protections. In fact many cards geared towards business people and frequent travelers have a built in insurance that is far greater than what you would get with a purchased policy – and you won’t have to pay out anything to get that coverage.

If you book your trip through a service you may have some extra protection as well. Online services in which you book your entire trip – from flight to hotel to rental car, often offer some coverage for just using the service and many offer the chance to purchase some additional coverage for a small fee. Though you probably wouldn’t get as great a level of coverage with this method it will often come at a lower price.

With all of the things that we take along with us as we travel these days – expensive clothes, laptop computers, digital cameras and portable electronics – it only makes sense for us to be safe. Traveler’s insurance can be a very good thing to have in the event that one of your bags that contains a very important possession gets lost or stolen, just be sure that you don’t already have coverage for a similar event through another avenue before you spend some of your hard earned money that could potentially have been used elsewhere in your journey.

The Development of the Limousine Industry in the US

A long time back, the shepherds in a French province developed protective cloaks to protect themselves from rain and storms. In 1902, a car was developed, which had a similar-looking hooded compartment for the passengers to protect them from the elements. The driver of the car used to sit separately in the front. Because of its resemblance with the provincial garment, the car was named after that province. The name of this place is Limousin and the car, which went on to become one of the most famous vehicles in the history of the automobile industry, was named after it.

The first limos were any car with an enclosed passenger compartment and the driver acting as the chauffeur. The stretch limos were developed in Arkansas in 1928 by a coach building company Armbruster, as an answer to the highly popular and affordable Model T cars by Henry Ford. The stretch limo was an invention to differentiate it from the ordinary motorcars, to add the ‘X factor’ to it, in order to lure in the wealthier clients who wanted to set themselves apart from the masses.

California, the home of Hollywood, soon got caught up in the limo fever like all other US states. The people in the film industry in Hollywood were quick to realize the potential of a stretch limo to conveniently carry film sets, make-up crew and many other items. The actors were only too happy to be carried in a limo as when they stepped upon the red carpet from the back seat of a stylish limo, it immediately increased their glamour quotient. The music bands led by Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman started using stretch limos to carry their band members and equipments. In other words, limos became a status symbol for all wealthy and glamorous people in the US.

Some American entrepreneurs saw in this trend, a golden opportunity to cash in the roaring popularity of the car by renting them to common people in cities like New York and Los Angeles. It proved a huge success as limousines provided people with comfort and novelty, not to mention the electrifying sense of superiority as they step down a beautiful limo to encounter dropped jaws and envious gazes of bystanders. It proved to be equally popular with businessmen who liked the privacy of the separate passenger compartment. The limo industry, which encompasses the manufacturers, the coachbuilders, car sellers and the rental services, have never looked back.

The 21st century limos refer to a diverse types of vehicles manufactured by around 12,400 limousine companies across the US. California is one of the leading states in the US where numerous limo coachbuilders and rental services cater to the specific needs of a vast client base. Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, Ventura counties are dotted with such rental offices. The punctuality and the professionalism of all limo rental services are remarkable. This is another reason for the growing popularity of limo rental services on all occasions such as prom nights, weddings and concerts.
